The primary foundation of osteopathy is to make you as an individual healthier. Osteopathy looks for the causes of dysfunction, treating the body as a whole. As a natural medicine, it applies the knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the body to all types of various diseases, disorders, and dysfunctions.

Osteopathy is not only a treatment, but also a philosophy. To be healthy, one has to consider the entire individual (mind, body, and spirit), the environment (both internal and external), and the stresses that influence the individual. In doing so, you are able to optimize and enhance your health. Health, in its totality, functions with the whole individual within an environment (both internal and external) with pressures and stresses that can allow the individual to strive and excel. The Osteopathic Manual Practitioner will consider and influence all aspects of health. This in turn will optimize health of the individual leading to an enhanced life.

Osteopathic Manual Practitioners use a holistic model, understanding that there is a connection between the physical, psychological and spiritual well-being. With a gentle “hands-on” or “manual” approach, they identify the root cause of the problem and restore order to all of the systems, including the musculoskeletal, respiratory, cardiovascular, digestive, reproductive, and nervous system.

Osteopathic Manual Practitioners are trained to treat using cranio-sacral therapy, myofascial release, visceral manipulation, mobilization of the joints of the spine and extremities, and osteopathic techniques to address gynecological and digestive health, the nervous system, scar tissue, lymphatic drainage, the emotional state, and the over-all well-being of the individual.
Pain anywhere in the body, including neck, back, ribs, all joints, myofascial pain, pain related to the organs
Acute and chronic injuries
Post-concussion syndrome, headaches and migraines
Sports injuries, tendonitis, and muscle and ligament strains/sprains
Fertility
Pregnancy (pain, breech baby, optimizing health, preparing for delivery)
Post-pregnancy re-balancing of the body
Post-partum depression
Infants (latch, reflux, constipation, cranial dysfunctions, mis-shape head, sleep issues and fussy babies)

By addressing the structural mis-alignments of the body, manual osteopathy can affect physiological function and metabolic processes; therefore, manual osteopathy can help treat diseases and dysfunctions that affect the organs, the hormones, the nervous system, and the body as a whole.

Kimberly is passionate about holistic health and wellness and works with the interrelationships within the body to achieve balance. She has a whole body approach to treatment, which includes gentle structural and functional hands on techniques, such as craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, osteoarticular mobilization, balancing the nervous system, lymphatics and circulation. She treats a wide range of patients of all ages including babies/children, pre/post natal, and the elderly. She has a special interest in treating babies/children, head trauma, whiplash, low back pain, post surgical recovery, rehabilitation, and visceral issues.

Kimberly is a kind and empathetic practitioner who truly invests in her patient’s. Each patient will benefit from her expertise to best manage their condition, maximize recovery and create a lifestyle to optimize their health and wellness.
